The Winter Drink – Soothing Hot Toddy Recipe to Try Tonight

When the cool winter breeze starts knocking, many of us turn to our favorite drink to warm up. It’s that time of the year when we put away the cocktail shakers and grab the kettle. And here we are sharing the recipe of our all time champion drink ‘The Hot toddy’.

Toddy is an old-fashioned style cocktail that has been around for centuries. Hot toddy is made with a base of brandy, whiskey or rum with sweetener and spices. So, check out this simple hot toddy recipe.

Ingredients

• 1 ½ ounce of any brown liquid (brandy, whiskey & rum) preferably rum
• ½ ounce of lemon juice
• 1 tablespoon of honey
• 1 cup hot water
• 2-3 Cardamom,
• 1-3 cloves,
• 2 cinnamon sticks
• 1 star anise
• 2-3 lemon wedges

How to mix up your hot mug of Toddy

• Pour hot water in a Mug
• Add Rum, honey and lemon juice and stir
• Finally garnish with cardamom, cloves, cinnamon sticks, star anise and lemon wedges.
• Serve hot
