Uncover the Golden States treasures and Visit California Now!
Recently, I was invited to Visit California CEO Mission Media Day on November 17th 2017 at The Imperial, Janpath, New Delhi. ‘Visit California’ a non-profit group organized media day led by Visit California President & CEO Caroline Beteta.
California is expanding its footprint in the Indian market. The delegation of 11 CEOs embarked on the first-ever California tourism CEO mission to India on Nov 13 in Mumbai with meetings & events. The team concluded with a press conference and media interviews in New Delhi on November 17.
Throughout the week, CEOs educated the Indian key tourism market about the Golden State’s commitment to the Indian market.
California is one of the most popular and inspirational tourist destination in the United States. The all-year pleasant weather in California is a huge advantage for Indian travelers. California is now connected with many non-stop flights from India.
The mission of Visit California (nonprofit organization) is to plan marketing programs and develop partnership with state’s travel industry to promote California as premier travel destination for Indians. The delegation focused on market education and position of California tourism to Indian travelers
“We are very excited for the opportunity that the India market presents for travel to California and see this mission as an important step in introducing California to Indian travelers,” said Caroline Beteta, Visit California president & CEO. “This visit will provide critical learnings on how we can best prepare our state to welcome Indian visitors as the market continues to grow.”
The delegation stated the excitement around the growth of outbound travel in the market. The Visit California team focused on educational travel trade, public relations and welcomed Indian travelers to experience the diversity of California – from breathtaking coastline, world-class cities to wine country and luxurious destinations.
